Philosophy

Promise for a harmonious, coexisting society

Since its founding, AhnLab has strived to fulfill its social role as a leading cybersecurity company.
Based on founding philosophy of "We Contribute to Society Through Relentless R&D," we take the lead in realizing social values to become a role model company for society. We also realize founding philosophy, demonstrating that the pursuit of public interest and profit can coexist.
AhnLab can trace its roots back to 1988, when its founder developed V3, an antivirus program, and distributed it free of charge for the next seven years. The philosophy of contributing to the public good has been ingrained in AhnLab since its founding in 1995, as the company sought to establish a non-profit corporation. Based on this philosophy, AhnLab realizes various social values by combining original know-how and innovation independently or in collaboration with government agencies and non-profit organizations.
Authenticity, sustainability, and customer participation are the most important elements in realizing corporate social value. AhnLab strives to carry out social value realization activities that are authentic, sustainable, and involve customer participation.
AhnLab aims to build a Creating Shared Value (CSV) model that pursues both social value, which society expects from businesses, and corporate value, which businesses pursue through profit generation.
Additionally, AhnLab will further focus on 'eco-friendly management' and 'fulfillment of social responsibility' under 'sound governance principles' to realize ultimate social value.
