- 1) Scope: AhnLab office building (AhnLab headquarters and AhnLab Blockchain Company)
- 2) As there are no separate metering systems by floor or department and few departments requiring dedicated energy management, AhnLab has established a goal to reduce total electricity consumption by 2%.

Environmental Management System Review and External Verification
AhnLab maintains its ISO 14001 certification through annual surveillance audits and recertification audits every three years while continuously managing its Environmental Management System. To enhance the reliability of its GHG emissions and energy consumption data, AhnLab voluntarily undergoes annual third-party verification. The Company also prepares, verifies, and discloses its GHG inventory.
Environmental Management Certifications
- ISO 14001: Certification for an Environmental Management System (EMS) that systematically manages environmental impacts and requires the continuous improvement of environmental performance.
- GHG Emissions Verification: Verification process that reviews and assures GHG emissions generated by a company or business site during a specified reporting period.
Environmental Management Activities
GHG Emissions Reduction
- Introduce and expand the use of electric and hybrid vehicles
- 1 electric vehicle and 5 hybrid vehicles out of 9 company vehicles (as of Dec. 2025)
- Install electric vehicle charging stations (since 2022)
- Introduce a dedicated webinar room and facilities for online seminars (since 2021)
Energy Conservation
- Install occupancy sensors in meeting rooms for IoT-based lighting control (since 2024)
- Replace parking lot and office lighting with LED fixtures (since 2020)
- Strengthen the management of major energy-consuming sources, including lighting, HVAC systems, PCs, and servers (since 2011)
Water Conservation
- Replace shower heads in the fitness center with water-efficient models (since 2022)
- Install a graywater recycling system and conduct regular water quality and equipment maintenance (since 2011)
Waste Reduction
- KRW 100 discount on beverages purchased using a reusable tumbler (personal cup) at the in-house café (since 2024)
- Hold two campaigns to reduce disposable cup use and encourage reusable tumblers (2024)
- Replace bottled water sold at the in-house café with label-free bottles (since 2023)
