AhnLab, with its founding philosophy "We contribute to building a society of harmonious coexistence through continuous research and development," actively engages in community engagement activities to fulfill its corporate social responsibility.
With the goal of improving digital literacy among local residents, AhnLab entered into a partnership with the Korea IT Welfare Agency in 2022. Desktop PCs, monitors, laptops, and other disused IT devices donated by AhnLab are provided to low-income families, multicultural households, and individuals with disabilities in the Seongnam area after undergoing reorganizing by the Korea IT Welfare Agency. In the same year, AhnLab conducted a 24-week second-hand book donation campaign, collecting 2,477 donated books and delivering them to the 'Treasure Island' second-hand bookstore operated by the Beautiful Store. The proceeds from book sales were donated to the Seongnam Association of Group Home for Children & Youth to support basic living expenses.
Furthermore, stemming from the belief that genuine and sustained efforts can be made more effectively and reach a wider audience when various companies join forces, the 'Pangyo CSR Alliance,' established in 2013, evolved into the 'Pangyo ESG Alliance' in 2022. Comprised of companies located in Pangyo, it is a regional-based ESG activity consortium dedicated to sharing ESG information and collectively conducting activities that value the environment and society. On June 5, 2023, as a pioneering collaborative initiative, two member companies, AhnLab and Smilegate Foundation, organized a 'second-hand clothing donation campaign' where over 1,000 pieces of clothing donated by employees from both companies were exchanged. We will continue to make continuous efforts to expand the scope and beneficiaries of such community-based collaborative activities.
Additionally, AhnLab operates various in-house donation programs in collaboration with domestic welfare foundations, ensuring that our employees can fulfill their responsibilities as members of our society and actively participate in charitable activities.
In the future, AhnLab will maintain its dedication to making every possible effort to create social value as an integral part of our local community.
