AhnLab aims for ‘More Security, More Freedom’ that small efforts can lead to.
AhnLab aims to "continuous improvement of environmental achievements," and ultimately, all of AhnLab's management activities will have a positive impact on the environment. In addition, we set “Every Little Detail” as a catchphrase to constantly implement, measure, and improve environmental management.
To do this, AhnLab intends to establish and implement the following:
- 1. We will fulfill our corporate social responsibility by complying with domestic and international laws and standards related to the environment and actively cooperating with government policies for environmental conservation, such as reducing greenhouse gases, preserving the ecosystem, and resolving water issues.
- 2. We will strive to efficiently use and manage energy such as electricity and water used in our office building and reduce carbon emissions.
- 3. We will effectively operate the environmental management process established based on ISO14001* and actively respond to changing environmental issues.
- 4. We will actively deliver education and public relations activities to stakeholders, including AhnLab employees, to form a consensus on environmental awareness, and strengthen voluntary action programs to improve awareness.
- 5. We will pursue sustainable and transparent environmental management by disclosing environmental management performance internally and externally.

Improve energy consumption + reduce carbon emissions by building green infrastructure such as green buildings, green offices, and green shafts
- Construction of electric vehicle charging facility (2022)
- Replacement of fitness center showers with water-saving heads (2022)
- Reduction in energy consumption by replacing parking lot and office LED lighting (2020~)
- Efforts to reduce energy consumption by strengthening management of energy overconsumption sources (lighting/air conditioner/PC/server, etc.) (2011~)
Reduce paper usage + reduce carbon emissions with paperless meetings
- Introduction of electronic approval system (newERP) (2022)
- Introduction of large displays (signage), conference call equipment, webcams, etc. in company-wide conference rooms (2020)

- Reduction in per capita electricity consumption by 2% in 2023 compared to 2022*
- Introduction of electric vehicles for corporate vehicles (1 out of 7 vehicles replaced with electric vehicle)

- Introduction of reusable cups at in-house café (reduction in disposable paper/plastic cup usage, 2021)
- Replacement of bottled water sold in in-house café with label-free products (2023~)
*Since there is no separate measuring equipment for each floor or department and there are few departments that need special management, a goal of reducing 2% of total power usage (total of individual power savings by employees) by 2023 has been established.
Implement an environmental education program in which all executives and employees actively participate
- Real-time online and offline lectures, and replays provided on the company portal (once a quarter, 2021~)
Realize social value through active and continuous environmental activities
- Reduction in waste generation and resource circulation by donating disused IT devices
- Donation of 1,000 pieces of used clothing by employees through the 'second-hand clothing donation campaign’ (Co-hosted by AhnLab and Smilegate Foundation in June 2023, AhnLab employees donated 500 pieces of clothes.)
- Donation of 2,000 used books by employees through the ‘Book Recycling Campaign’ (2022. 7~12)
- Implementation of environmental protection activities (biodiversity conservation) to protect the environment of local communities (relevant research and data survey in progress as of 2023)
